By downloading, installing, or using the Saylore application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Saylore is an AI-powered English language learning application that provides:
- Structured English lessons aligned with the CEFR framework (levels A1 through C2)
- IELTS and TOEFL exam preparation practice modules
- An AI tutor powered by artificial intelligence for conversational English practice
- Vocabulary tools, flashcards, quizzes, and spaced repetition review
- Speech practice with voice input and text-to-speech pronunciation
- Progress tracking, streak system, and achievements

IELTS is a registered trademark of IDP Education, the British Council, and Cambridge Assessment English. TOEFL is a registered trademark of ETS (Educational Testing Service). Saylore is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any of these organizations. Our exam preparation materials are created independently by Saylore for practice purposes only. They are not official exam materials, do not replicate actual exam content, and do not guarantee any specific exam score or outcome. For official preparation resources, please refer to the respective exam providers directly.
3. Account Registration
- You may create an account using your email, Google, or Apple ID
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You must provide accurate information during registration
- One account per person; sharing accounts is not permitted
4. Subscription and Payment
4.1 Free Content
The following features are available without a subscription:
- First module of A1 level (introductory lessons)
- Placement test to determine your level
- Word of the Day
- Limited AI tutor interactions
4.2 Premium Subscription
- Free trial: 7-day free trial for new subscribers
- Billing: Charged through Google Play Store or Apple App Store
- Auto-renewal: Subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time through your Google Play or App Store account settings. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
4.3 Premium Features Include
- All lessons across all CEFR levels (A1-C2)
- Full IELTS and TOEFL preparation modules
- Unlimited AI tutor conversations
- All quizzes and practice exercises
- Full vocabulary and flashcard access
5. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the App
- Share, redistribute, or resell App content
- Harass, abuse, or send harmful content through the AI chat
- Attempt to manipulate the AI tutor into providing non-educational content
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others
6. AI-Generated Content
- The AI tutor provides educational content generated by artificial intelligence
- AI responses are designed for English language learning purposes only
- AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors; it should not be considered professional linguistic certification
- The AI tutor is not a substitute for certified language examination preparation from accredited institutions
- Saylore is not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated advice
7. Intellectual Property
- All App content, including lessons, exercises, designs, icons, and branding, is owned by Saylore
- The CEFR framework is a publicly available standard developed by the Council of Europe
- IELTS and TOEFL are registered trademarks of their respective owners (see disclaimer above)
- Saylore is an independent application not affiliated with any exam organization
8. Limitation of Liability
- The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription in the preceding 12 months
9. Service Availability
- We strive to maintain the App's availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime
- We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice
10. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time by contacting us
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms
- Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately
- Data deletion follows the procedures outlined in our Privacy Policy
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing formal legal proceedings.
