2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
- Email address — used for account creation and login
- Display name — shown in your profile
- Authentication data — managed securely through JWT tokens or third-party providers (Google, Apple)
2.2 Learning Data
- Language level and progress — your CEFR level (A1-C2), lesson completion, quiz scores, streak data
- Vocabulary and review history — words you have studied, flashcard results, spaced repetition data
- Exam preparation progress — IELTS and TOEFL practice results
- Placement test results — used to determine your starting level
2.3 AI Tutor Conversations
- Chat messages — text messages you send to the AI tutor are processed by OpenAI's API to generate responses. We store the most recent messages (up to 10) to maintain conversation context. Older messages are automatically deleted.
- Voice input — if you use the speech feature, your voice recordings are sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription. We do not store voice recordings after transcription.
2.4 Device Information
- Device type and operating system — for app compatibility
- App version — for troubleshooting and updates
2.5 Subscription Information
Purchase history is managed by Google Play or Apple App Store. We do not directly collect or store payment card details.
